Chapter Nineteen: The Earth Scepter
This world was by far the worst yet. Completely confusing; nothing in this world was how it should be. As soon as I entered I looked around to see a frozen wasteland. I blinked a few times. This was the earth realm? How could that be...Earth Elementals HATED Ice...How insane... I shrugged and took a step forward. There was a brillant flash of light and I was knocked to my feet. When I got back up the world was changed. It was now an amazingly hot desert. I was already sweating and panting. Why did the world suddenly change? I took another step. Another flash. The world was now mucky and covered in green slime. The air was very acidic. It was poison. The acid on the floor was eating away at my shoes. I hurried and walked forward again. It changed back to the ice world. I sighed and started walking. With everystep I took, another sceneary changed.

There were no creatures inside the earth realm, and understandably so. Within time there were new landscapes. There was a fire world, an ice world, a desert, an underwater world, the acid world, a world upside down, a world of glass, etc. Nothing made sense in this universe. I had no idea how far I had gone because everything was always the same. Finally, the worlds stopped changing. I got stuck in the Icy World. Strange, but I carried on. Still no creatures. I began dragging my sword through the snow so I could leave some kind of trail for me to follow back.

Sometime later, I found a cactus. Yes, a cactus, in a frozen wasteland. I was starving so I cut it down, picked out the spikes and ate pieces of it. It was also filled with water (yes water, not ice) so I drank some of it. This was a strange and disturbing universe. I continued walking and it changed to desert. I sighed and continued on. As I was walking I stumbled by, you guessed it. A Snow man. I started laughing insanely. I had gone crazy. The continous changing weather, the noxious gas? I was insane. It was So obvious!!

"Haha...HAHAHAHAHA.. HEEHEEAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA!!!" I laughed manically.

"I'VE GONE INSANE! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" I shouted.

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOO" I shouted like an idiot.

I started to dash around like crazy, laughing like a moron and shouting. I made funny noises and did cartwheels and frolicked as the scenery changed over a hundred times. I broke into a dash and just ran and ran. A Sandstorm picked up, but I ignored it, even though the hot sand being blown in my eyes stung very badly. The sandstorm took a good twenty to subside, but I was so messed up that I didn't even notice.

Some time later, as I continued to run, I slammed face first into a huge barrier. The blow to the head knocked me onto my back, changing the world to desert. It had also snapped me out of my mental instability. As I got back up and rubbed my head I looked infront of me. It was the Earth Scepter!!!! Just sitting there!!....On a Rock...surrounded by a swirling pit of quicksand... As I looked around, I couldn't tell what I had hit. Then I realized there was a huge, invisible shield surrounding the Earth Scepter. I looked up to see an old man, with a long white beard, dressed in all red, with a red hat with a feather in it. His red robe was long and flowing with a gold trim. He wore white gloves and black shoes.

The man looked at me and tilted his head. I could tell he hadn't seen another person in many hundreds of years. Could this be the ruler of the Earth Shrine? I sure hope he was, so I could beat him and get out of this mad house. I looked up at him, wiping my eyes because of the sand. He hopped off of the shield, and landed behind me. I turned to face him. He pulled out a brown staff and put on a pair of glasses.

"Tis a mighty blow you took to your noggin there, lad." He said.

"I'm fine." I lied. I had a splitting head ache.

"Who are you anyway, boy?" He asked.

"Name's Damian. Who are you?" I replied.

"Who am I?" He sounded insulted.

"You mean you've never heard of the great Geomancer, Archimedes?" He asked.

"I'm not from Darnithias, so no." I replied.

"Well, apparently not. I'm known all over the world." He said.

"Is it your fault that all these crazy weather patterns not only drove me insane, but almost killed me?" I asked.

"That it is. I was asked to protect the Earth Scepter. You're the first person to make it this far. Tis a shame you came all this way for nothing." He commented.

"What do you mean for nothing? I hate to say it, Archimedes, but I am not leaving without that Scepter." I explained.

"Exactly what makes you think You're worthy of Claiming it?" Asked the mage.

"Well," I began, withdrawing the Ashbane. "I already defeated both Fuego and Tiburon. After those two, you should be cake." I said arrogantly.

"Most impressive, but I never said I'd fight you. No, no." He said, shaking his head.

"Well then give me the Scepter." I demanded.

"No can do. Titan, come to me!" He called out.

The ground began to shake violently and split apart. I fell to my knees. A huge, monstrous figure climbed out of the ground. My eyes widened as I stared at it. It was over thirty feet tall, at least. Its body was made of pure earthen rock. It had arms like tanks, and legs like tree trunks. I could barely speak. This thing was huge. He let out a huge scream of fury, and the battle had begun.

He swung one of his huge arms at me, but I was lucky, his amazing weight made him extremely slow. I easily got out of his way. I sheathed my sword, realizing it would have no effect on this creature. I Clenched my fists together and summoned a huge Tsunami to knock him off his feet. As he fell over the entire ground shook, knocking me into the air. I took him quite a while to get back up, but while he was down I managed to cast several more Tsunami's on him, causing him extreme damage.

The look on Archimedes face was priceless. He couldn't believe that this massive demon from the depths was losing to a squirt like me. Finally the golem managed to get up. He slammed his foot into the ground, causing a seismic earthquake off the scales. I suffered major Earth damage from this attack, but I was able to retaliate. I unloaded more and more Tsunami's into the Titan. He couldn't hold up much longer. He fell to his knees. I cast Freeze him. His body froze. I took out my Ashbane and performed the Dual Blade ability on him. Upon the second slash, his body shatter and disintergrated.

I sheathed my sword and turned too Archimedes. I smirked. Archimedes looked like he was about to fall over and die. He was shocked beyond belief. He took off his glasses and wiped them. I had leveled up from that fight, I had learned the Fira magic. Archimedes was so shocked. He sighed. He closed his eyes and nodded. With a wave of his hand the shield around the Earth Scepter disappeared. Then the swirling pit filled up, and formed a path to the rock with the Scepter on it.

"Go on, Damian. It's yours." He said.

"Why so willing to give it all of a sudden?" I asked.

"In 10,000 years, I have never seen another human. Especially one strong enough to actually take down Titan." He said calmly.

"If I take the Scepter, won't this universe be destroyed, along with you in it?" I asked.

"Yes." He said.

"Then...?"

"When you've been alone for 10,000 years, you begin to stop caring what happens." He explained.

"Why don't you come with me, back to Darnithias?" I asked.

"I could." Said Archimedes.

"Are you going too?"

"No."

I sighed and nodded. He held out his hand to me. I took his hand and shook it respectfully. He smiled and thanked me. I walked to the Scepter and picked it up. With another wave of his hand the portal opened up. I took one last look at Archimedes, and he waved as I hopped into the portal. I heard him shout "Good bye" as the portal closed and I zipped through space. I wondered if I had done the right thing to just destroy his world like that. It was his decision, not mine, I told myelf. As I re-entered the Orb room, That there was only one place left to go, before this madness ended and I would return to my friends.

I pocketed the Green Earth Scepter and approached the yellow, swirling Wind orb. I placed my hand upon it, and I the portal opened. No guardian, nothing. I looked around for a moment and then shrugged. Maybe this one would be easy. I brushed it off and hopped into the portal. The usual portal space, but it was the Wind-World itself that was so amazingly surprising...
